A MAN was punched after his dog was in a fight with another.
The 46-year-old victim was walking his dog in Round Wood, off Woodedge Avenue in Waterloo, when his dog and the other - being walked by a couple - attacked one another at 1pm on Wednesday.
He separated the dogs, but the other man then punched him in the face.
He suffered a slightly cut and swollen cheek and eye.
The victim got his phone out to ring for help, but the attacker knocked it from his hand and broke it.
The couple then walked away towards Woodedge Avenue.
The attacker is white, aged 30 to 35, 5ft 9in tall and stocky, with dark eyebrows. He wore a blue parka, a black woolly hat and grey Kicker boots.
The woman is white and small, with peroxide blonde hair. She wore a sheepskin coat.
A police spokesman said: "They probably live near the wood, so someone must know who they are."
