POLICE have today revealed the faces of four more people who have failed to turn up in court.

The four follow seven names and faces published in the Examiner last week as part of a new campaign to bring people to justice.

Everyone pictured has failed to turn up in court after being charged with an offence.

The bid to find them is Operation Turn-up, a Government-led campaign to highlight its determination that people will not get away with dodging the court system.

Nationally, one in eight defendants fails to show up at court. An estimated 60,000 warrants nationwide - 800 in West Yorkshire - are outstanding for these so-called bail bandits.

Det Sgt Ian Froggett of Crimestoppers - which is spearheading the campaign in West Yorkshire - said: "We have received calls about the seven people pictured in the Examiner last Friday.

"The calls gave information which is being researched and acted upon, but there have been no arrests yet."

The four men pictured today all come from Huddersfield.

They are:

* Aaron Simpson, 23, of Huddersfield, who has one `fail to attend' warrant issued by Huddersfield magistrates and two by Batley and Dewsbury magistrates - all for allegations of motoring offences.

* James Gareth Ainsley, 21, of Huddersfield, who is wanted for breaching a court order at Huddersfield Magistrates' Court and failing to attend Calderdale Magistrates Court to answer an allegation of taking a motor vehicle without the owner's permission. He is also wanted on warrant by Leeds Crown Court for breaching a court order.

* Philip Leslie Anness, 39, of Huddersfield, who is wanted on warrant by Huddersfield magistrates for allegedly receiving stolen goods.

* Duncan Craig Russell, 32, of Milnsbridge, is wanted on warrant by Huddersfield magistrates on allegations of public order offences.

Anyone who knows where any of these men are should phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
