TWO bikers died in a crash with a car that was pulling out of a driveway.

The men, aged 39 and 31, who have not yet been named, were on Suzuki motorcycles that were in collision with a Ford Fiesta on Rochdale Road, Greetland.

They were travelling from Elland towards Ripponden when the incident happened at 5.20pm on Sunday.

Police, who released brief details of the accident yesterday, are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The incident in Greetland followed the deaths of two men in the early hours of Sunday on a stretch of the A635 moorland road between Huddersfield and Manchester.

Greater Manchester Police have now named them as Muhammed Zeeshan, 18, and Noorullah Zaeer, 19.

They died after a green Honda Accord overturned and landed in a ditch on Holmfirth Road in Saddleworth at about 4.30am.

Despite enquiries, police said they did not know where the men, who are not thought to have family in this country, were living.

Two youths and a man were also injured in the crash.

A 17-year-old boy was treated at the Royal Oldham Hospital for a minor head injury and later released.

A second 17-year-old suffered a throat injury which is not believed to be life-threatening and is still being treated at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

And a 36-year-old man is in a serious but stable condition at the Royal Oldham Hospital having suffered fractures to his left arm, spine and left leg.

A 36-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has subsequently been released without charge.

Police want to speak to witnesses to the incident.
