FUN and frivolity will be staged at the Cliff Recreation Ground, Holmfirth, next month.

Colne Valley MP Jason McCartney, pictured, will unveil a plaque at the event on Saturday July 6 to mark the start of the Cliff Rec Heritage Project.

The plaque will mark the Rec’s new Queen Elizabeth II Field status, which means it will be enjoyed by the community in perpetuity.

Attractions at the fun day include vintage tractors, alpacas, dog show, beat the goalie, sponge splat and the ever-popular welly wanging. The event starts at 2pm.
