Boy and woman fall victim

PEOPLE using a late-night petrol station were targeted by separate criminals within an hour.

The amazing coincidence happened at the Shell station on Lockwood Road, Lockwood, on Friday.

The first victim was a 15-year- old boy who had gone to the station to buy a sandwich about midnight.

When he went to pay at the night window he was surrounded by three youths. They forced him to buy them some cigarettes, then stole his cash and his sandwich.

They walked away towards Huddersfield town centre.

All are white. One is aged 16, 5ft 8in tall and slim.

He wore a white, hooded, Carlotta jacket with black arms, dark trousers, white Reebok trainers and a baseball cap with the TN logo on the front.

Another is 17, 6ft tall and slim, with long, dirty, blond hair. He wore a blue Adidas top and black jeans.

The third is aged 14, 5ft tall and slim.

An hour later, a 33-year-old Wooldale woman was in a taxi on her way home when she asked the driver to stop at the petrol station so she could buy some cigarettes.

When she went to the night window, a man approached her and said he was a crime prevention policeman.

He told her to be careful with her money.

But when she got back in the taxi she realised he had stolen her purse from her pocket.

He is white, in his 30s, 5ft 6in tall and slim, with blond hair.

He wore a red jacket with the hood up.
