STUDENTS at a Huddersfield sixth-form college have shown their business mettle.

Greenhead College sent two teams to the area finals of a contest for business studies students - and they enjoyed success coming first and second!

Both teams now go to the north of England semi-final, where they will face competition from other schools.

They include Manchester Grammar and Newcastle Royal Grammar.

The area final success came when the college's teams of three boys and three girls travelled to Bradford Grammar School.

Entrants in the Ogden Trust national contest have to make decisions under pressure on a challenging business problem.

They are judged on the originality of their ideas, their business plan, marketing ideas and the ability to think on their feet.
