PEOPLE have been urged to abseil or zip-slide down a dam wall to raise money for the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund.
The event at 150ft-high Baitings Dam, near Ripponden, will take place on Sunday, June 25.
People wanting to take part can either abseil or zip-slide down it.
The abseil will cost £10 to register, but people must raise at least £100 in sponsorship or £150 to zip-slide.
If they want to do both they must raise at least £225.
Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a certificate and a T-shirt declaring they Dared to Dangle!
The person raising the most money will win a trip for a family of four in a fire engine.
The charity's national fundraising officer, Gail Antcliffe, said: "We are offering people a great opportunity to experience a genuine buzz and also raise money."
