SCHOOLCHILDREN braved the dragons’ den.
Teams from years 7, 8 and 9 at Moor End Technology College pitched their product ideas to a panel of dragons – just like in the BBC TV program Dragons’ Den.
Dragons included chair of governors Louise Couzens-Abbott, former chairman of governors Steve Hirst, Nick Yeomans from David Brown Gear Systems, Peter Turner, chairman of the Friends of Beaumont Park and treasurer Mary Kenworthy.
The overall winner was ‘Picnic Pal’ a design for a picnic set.
