A POLICE helicopter used heat-seeking equipment to try to find a man after a car was found on its roof.
The Rover was found teetering at the edge of a 10ft drop down to a field in Whitley Road, Dewsbury.
When police arrived there was nobody in the car. A search was launched to find the driver, in case he had become dazed and wandered away.
The helicopter was used in an attempt to find the man. He was later tracked down to his home in the Dewsbury area.
He was uninjured but will be quizzed at a later date with regard to any possible traffic offences.
