TWO young rugby league fans are about to live out their dream.
Eight-year-old Connah Joyce and Oliver Hague, aged 10, will tonight lead out the two nations clashing in the Gillette Tri-Nations game at the Galpharm Stadium (kick-off 6.15).
Connah will walk out as the mascot of the Great Britain team, while Oliver will follow suit with New Zealand.
The boys were handed the once-in- a-lifetime chance after winning the Examiner's Tri-Nations mascot competition.
As well as leading out the teams in front of a crowd of about 18,000 in a match screened live on Sky TV, the lucky winners receive a full replica kit and a family pass for four.
And the boys will be hoping tonight's international experience is a taste of things to come.
Both are actively involved in junior rugby league, with Oliver playing for Huddersfield Sharks and Connah turning out for Newsome Panthers.
Oliver, from Bradley, and Connah, from Waterloo, are already dreaming of playing for Great Britain themselves one day.
Tonight's experience could give them a head start!
