A MAN has been cleared over a death crash.
Businessman Douglas Blackhall has been cleared of causing death by dangerous driving.
The prosecution has now agreed that there was no way he could have known he was about to have an epileptic seizure while driving through Brighouse.
That led to an accident in Bradford Road in September, 2006, in which a 44-year-old mother, Joanna Crewe, suffered serious injuries. She died in Leeds General Infirmary four weeks later.
Mr Blackhall, 73, of Lower Wyke Lane, Lower Wyke, was due to stand trial at Bradford Crown Court, but the charge was dropped yesterday.
