BUS drivers in Huddersfield have called off a series of strikes.

Stagecoach staff were planning three one-day walkouts over pay.

The action would have hit services in Huddersfield, Barnsley and Doncaster next Monday and on December 3 and 10.

Stagecoach Yorkshire’s managing director Paul Lynch said: “A revised pay arrangement has been agreed with the trade unions and we have been informed there will be no more industrial action on this issue.

“As ever, our passengers remain our priority and we are pleased there is now no threat of disruption to services.

“The agreement will bring stability for customers, staff and the company.”
