A WOMAN was left shocked after eggs were thrown through a window of her car.

Sandra McPartlin was driving along Wooldale Road, from Wooldale to Scholes.

Her driver's window was open and two eggs were thrown through it from the direction of some roadside cottages.

The eggs broke in the car, but because traffic was behind her the shocked Mrs McPartlin had to keep on driving.

She called the police when she arrived at her Scholes home.

Her husband, William, said the incident had left her shaken.

He added: "They exploded inside the car and covered her and the car.

"She was very upset. You would never expect it to happen. It could have caused a serious incident."

A Huddersfield police spokesman said: "It's dangerous to do. It is not a harmless prank.

"It could have had serious consequences if the driver had lost control and been in an accident."

The incident happened at 5pm on Thursday.
