A STUDENT will soon be in the driving seat thanks to his 100% attendance at school.

Hemat Khan, a year 11 student of Fartown High School, has been rewarded for his 100% attendance during the spring term.

He has been given 10 driving lessons which he can take when he reaches the age of 17.

The lessons were donated by Barry Collins, of BC’s Driving School, and the competition was aimed at encouraging students to maximise their potential for success.

All students who achieved 100% attendance were entered into a draw, and Hemat was the lucky winner.

He said: “I was very pleased to hear that I had qualified for the prize draw. I was excited and hoped that I would be chosen.

“I am so happy that I have won and am really looking forward to my lessons.”
