A PORSCHE driving drug dealer has been ordered to repay nearly £50,000 from his ill-gotten gains.

David Guy, 51, was one of three men jailed for a total of 18 years in February 2010 after being involved in a £1.7m drugs ring.

Trevor Dines, 54, and Lee Williams, 41, were caught red-handed by police moving more than 2,000 bags of cannabis resin from a storage container in Brighouse.

Porsche owner David Guy, who was described by a judge as a major player, was jailed for six years for his part in supplying amphetamines worth £54,000.

Dines, of Hollybank Road, Rastrick, was given a four-year sentence and Williams, of Well Green, Hove Edge, Brighouse, was sentenced to eight years.

Guy was being watched by police when an officer overheard him in a pub talking in code to arrange a delivery of drugs.

On April 15, 2008, police swooped on Dines and Williams after following them to the storage container where they caught them moving 593kg of cannabis resin, split into 2,534 bags. It was valued at £1.7 million.

When Guy, of Thornhill Bridge Lane, Brighouse, was arrested he told police he was a builder earning £22,000 a year, but owned a £90,000 Porsche.

Guy appeared in front of Judge Jonathan Rose at Bradford Crown Court again yesterday for a hearing under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

It was agreed that he had benefited from criminal conduct to the tune of £341,075, but that he had realisable assets amounting to £49,210.

The court heard that £34,000 had already been seized by the police and Guy, who is now out of prison, will have to repay the total sum within six months. If he fails to meet the confiscation order he faces an extra 15 months in jail.
