A SERIES of successful drugs raids in Huddersfield ended on a spectacular note with a £100,000 haul of cocaine and crack cocaine.

Police found the Class A at a house in Ballroyd Road, Fartown. A 35-year-old woman has been arrested.

The haul brings the total worth of drugs found in Kirklees in just five days to more than £200,000.

Police have been acting on tip-offs throughout the week and targeting known suppliers of drugs including heroin, cannabis and cocaine.

Det Chief Insp Dave Knopwood, crime manager for Kirklees, said: “There is a link between drugs and crime.

“Many users commit crimes to buy drugs and these raids are about breaking that chain.’’
