A 39-YEAR-OLD man was assaulted in his Skelmanthorpe home by an intruder.

Police have now released this efit of the man they believe is responsible for the assault in Woodlands Drive on April 30.

The incident happened at around 9am when a man knocked on the victim’s door asking for water for his broken down car.

He then asked to use the toilet, which the victim declined, and then forced his way into the property, assaulting the victim, who suffered minor injuries.

The victim's wife managed to call police and the suspect fled.

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-twenties, and 5’9” tall. He had short black hair and wore a light grey jacket and dark trousers.
