A HUDDERSFIELD University students’ union officer is to take part in a conference about inclusivity in higher education.

Haneef Rashid, education and welfare officer for the Huddersfield University Student Union, will be one of many officers from across the region at the April 16 event.

The team have arranged a series of workshops to take place on Thursday April 16, and speakers will include Adam Hyland, NUS Disabled Students’ Officer.

The sessions are aimed at students. However, non-students who would find it useful to hear the views of students and may be interested in attending are welcome.

Disabled students are given the opportunity to present their current research to raise the profile of disabled students by demonstrating the range and quality of innovative work they undertake.
