An Efit image of a man has been released by police following a sexual assault in Huddersfield.

Kirklees CID want to hear from anyone who recognises the man pictured who they want to speak to in connection with the attack on Charles Street, Huddersfield, on Tuesday, June 10.

The incident took place between 12.15am and 1.30am near the junction with Hawthorne Terrace after the 27-year-old female victim was approached by a man while she was walking home.

He spoke to her briefly before sexually assaulting her. The victim pushed the man off and he then walked away.

The suspect is described as being of mixed race, 5ft 5ins tall, in his late 20s and of a big build.

He had two shaved lines in his right eyebrow, shaved hair with lines in, stubble, and diamond studs in each ear.

He was wearing a dark blue tracksuit, black and white Adidas Originals trainers and was carrying a green and red Gucci cross body bag.

He also had a tattoo on his neck of writing which featured a large letter ‘C.’

Det Con Simon Thomas said: “We are investigating this incident and would like to speak with anyone who recognises the man pictured.

“Anyone who can identify him or has information is asked to contact myself at Kirklees CID on 101.

“Information can also be passed to CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
