EIGHT men have been arrested after a man was stabbed at his Edgerton home.
The victim, who has not been named, was attacked at his house in the leafy cul-de-sac Edgerton Green in a late night gang attack.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a disturbance at a house on Edgerton Green. Four men armed with what is believed to be a handgun and knives demanded cash from the occupants.
“A 53-year-old man suffered stab wounds to his chest and remains in a stable condition in hospital. “Two women suffered minor injuries. The suspects made away empty-handed.”
They were wearing dark clothes and balaclavas. The attack was at midnight on Tuesday last week, but details have only just been released by the police.
The spokesman said that eight men had now been arrested. They are aged 53, 40, 33, two aged 28, a 27-year-old and two aged 25.
The investigation is continuing.
