THE carnival comes to Elland this weekend.
Boxhall playing fields, behind the Rex Cinema, is the venue for the charity carnival on Saturday. The event kicks off at noon with a procession followed by falconry and dog training displays and entertainment from The Anchormen drum corps and the Karen Binns Dance Group. There will be a funfair for children, stalls and a Punch and Judy show. A barbecue, beer tent and live bands will follow in the evening. Entry is free.
