A WOMAN was taken to hospital after crashing her vehicle into a tree.
The driver of a Cavalier car somehow lost control of the vehicle and ploughed down an embankment where it came to rest on a tree.
The female driver was not badly injured in the accident but was treated in hospital for shock.
The crash happened on Lower Edge in Elland at 8.17am yesterday.
Elland firefighters were called to the scene and help to cut part of the car away to release the driver.
Paramedics were on the scene to treat the motorist and take her to hospital.
