A man who was stabbed to death in Elland has been named by detectives as Daniel Shane Campbell.

The 38-year-old’s body was discovered at an address on Elizabeth Street at 7.19pm on Friday.

 

Late today West Yorkshire Police said that following a post mortem, Mr Campbell, who is originally from Halifax, was found to have died from multiple stab wounds.

Det Chief Insp Steve Snow, from West Yorkshire Police’s Protective Services (Crime), said: “A 45-year-old local man who was arrested near to the scene on Friday evening remains in police custody on suspicion of murder.”
