WORK on boosting pedestrian safety has been completed ahead of schedule.
But Calderdale Council has decided to carry out more work to Elland roads.
A new footpath link at Long Wall, Elland, has been constructed, a section of street lighting replaced, road markings improved and overhanging trees cut back.
But the council has now decided to improve more street lighting.
Long Wall and Saddleworth Road will re-open on Sunday.
But from Monday, March 8, Long Wall will be reopened to two way traffic but during the day traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals until the work is complete, which is expected to be in two weeks.
