A CHORAL performance featuring John Maunder’s sacred cantata Olivet To Calvary will take place in Elland.
The concert, which will be held on Good Friday, April 2, will include a performance by the joint choirs of Southgate and Lindwell Methodist Churches, Elland.
It will take place at the Southgate Methodist Church, Elland, starting at 7.30pm.
The soloists are three well known local musicians – tenor Roy Sykes, who was the soloist with Halifax Choral Society when they presented Olivet to Calvary last spring, baritone John Ramsdin and Andrew Jacobs on the organ. Andrew has been the organist of Southgate Church for 23 years.
Conductor for the night will be Janet Revill, who is the choir mistress at Lindwell.
There is no charge for admission, however there will be a collection for Overgate Hospice.
