Eyewitness says he saw man 'slumped against bin' following alleged stabbing

A man working in the area told how he saw a man come out of a house and stand slumped against a bin.

Another man came out shouting: “Call the police.” The man said he’d been told by police there had been a stabbing. He believed the victim had been taken to hospital by road ambulance. It is thought the air ambulance landed on a field nearby but wasn’t needed.
Several people reported to the Examiner they saw three or four distinctive yellow ambulances marked: ‘Incident Response Unit’ heading through town with lights flashing and sirens blaring.
