A WHOLE school turned out to applaud its school-leavers.

The children at Castle Hill School lined up to clap the youngsters who are leaving the school this time as they walked to a stretch limousine.

The limousine was provided free to the school by Shepley firm SLS Limousines.

After they had gone for a 30-minute ride around town in two groups, the nine leavers then had a prom at school which included a buffet lunch with parents and friends before entertainment from a rock band, a solo singer and a disco from Huddersfield company Cummins Turbo Technologies.

Button holes were provided free by Netherton flower shop Forever Green.

At the final presentation ceremony staff paid tribute to each of the leavers.

The school leavers included Andy White, Andrew Sloan, Cameron Payton, George Hirst, Kristian Gee, Amandip Kaur, Aliesha Maroof and Muzamil Farooq.
