ENTRIES are being welcomed for a photographic competition in the Colne Valley.
Saturday April 1 is the closing date for the contest run by Marsden Information Point.
The competition is for images depicting life in the Upper Colne Valley with the winners being used for a 2007 calendar and new postcards of the area.
Entries must be accompanied by an entry form, available from Marsden Information Point, Peel Street, or Slaithwaite Library, Britannia Road.
Photos have to be in colour, no smaller than 4 x 6in and no larger than 6 x 8in.
Up to six entries per person are allowed but individuals may win only once.
Both the calendar and postcards will be printed and on sale by August. For every calendar sold, 25p will go to the Christmas lights funds of both villages.
