TWO teenagers escaped unhurt when a dishwasher fire badly damaged their home.
A 16-year-old girl was drying her hair when the power suddenly went off at the semi-detached house at Heator Lane, Upper Cumberworth, at 10.25pm on Friday.
She went to investigate with her 15- year-old brother as the smoke detectors in their four-bedroomed family home went off.
They escaped as smoke poured through the house.
The fire was confined to the dishwasher and kitchen work surface.
