AN EVENT to encourage young Muslims into education was held in Huddersfield.

The careers day at Fartown Pavilion on Spaines Road featured experts in a variety of fields.

Advice and information was available for careers in law, teaching, accountancy and medicine.

The day was organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association’s education and youth departments.

Several similar events have been staged around the country.

One of the organisers, Fazal Ahmad, is a teacher in Ealing.

He said: “In our community we want to serve humanity.

“We believe that education is the key and we want to try and promote this.”
