CHARTERED accountants in Huddersfield have been urged to help charities land a £2,000 windfall.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants is calling for entries from its members in the town for the Everybody Counts Awards.
Any member of the institute involved in voluntary work can apply – and four winners will each receive £2,000 for the charity or community-based project with which they have been working.
Everybody Counts is run to encourage voluntary work and to recognise the difference chartered accountants can make to their local communities.
The awards are split into four categories – for members aged under 35, members in business, members in an accountancy practice and retired members.
The winner of each category is selected on the basis of the time, level of involvement and commitment they have devoted to the charity or project as well as the difference their work has made. The deadline for entries is Friday, April 29.
The winner will be announced at an awards evening on Thursday, June 30, at Chartered Accountants Hall in London.
