On Thursday the first official public meeting on the biggest shake-up of local NHS services in a generation will take place.

The people behind the Right Care Right Time Right Place plan have invited you to come and learn more about the proposal.

Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Accident & Emergency Dept. Acre Street, Lindley, Huddersfield.

If the plan goes ahead Huddersfield Royal Infirmary will be demolished and replaced with a new hospital which will have an urgent care centre, but no emergency care centre.

Emergency care will be centralised at an expanded Calderdale Royal Hospital, Halifax.

Here's everything you need to know about tomorrow's meeting:

Where is it?

North Bridge Leisure Centre in North Bridge Street, Halifax. The leisure centre is close to the ring road in the centre of Halifax.

When is the meeting happening?

The meeting will run 6pm-8pm.

Who will be there?

Chiefs of Greater Huddersfield and Calderdale clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) will be there outlining the plan.

Most likely, bosses of Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust, will be there as their hospitals – HRI and CRH – are at the heart of the proposal.

There will be probably be representatives from NHS England as they are overseeing the plan.

What will I learn?

Subjects likely to be covered are:

- the new HRI

- the expanded CRH

- the difference between ‘urgent’ and ‘emergency’ care and ‘planned’ and ‘unplanned care’

- paediatric care

- financial issues behind the plan, including funding.

Can I ask questions?

Yes. There will be a Q&A after the main presentation.

How do I get there?

By car — North Bridge Leisure Centre is approximately a 30-minute drive from Huddersfield. The North Bridge Car Park has 367 car parking spaces, including six disabled spaces. Don’t be tempted to park on the Sainsbury’s car park next to North Bridge Leisure Centre, though — if you're not a customer you may be fined.

Public transport — The Halifax venue is a 15 minute walk from Halifax Rail Station. It’s a much shorter walk from Halifax Bus Station. The 503 bus, for example, goes from Huddersfield town centre to Halifax Bus Station.

The venue has disabled access.
