A THEATRE group is to raise cash for a drug support group.

Proper Job Theatre Company will be taking part in tomorrow’s Examiner Charity Challenge to raise cash for Lifeline.

The team of eight will complete the seven-mile walk to raise £300 for the drug and alcohol support group’s Huddersfield branch.

Proper Job runs the Lab Project which teaches communication skills to unemployed adults through drama.

The company, which had its Arts Council funding stopped in February, receives referrals through Lifeline.

Lab Project Manager, Lauren Davies, said: “We have been privileged to have so many participants on the course referred from Lifeline.

“As a company, we felt we wanted to give something back to Lifeline for their continued support of our programme.

“The Charity Challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity to do that”.
