HISTORIC prints will be offered as a New Year gift to Examiner customers next week.
Examiner staff will be offering a choice of 12 historic prints with copies of the newspaper bought in three outlets.
The prints date from the 1940s and 1950s and depict many aspects of life in the town.
There are some familiar landmarks, such as churches and the Market Place, plus winter scenes showing the canal, the former Leeds Road football ground and moorland roads.
The prints will be available at: Sainsbury’s Shore Head store, January 4-7 (10am - 2pm); Sainsbury’s Market Street store, January 5-7 (10am - 2pm); and Marks & Spencer’s New Street store, January 5-8 (9am - 2pm).
