TIME is running out for people to nominate deserving causes for this years Christmas Wish campaign.

Tireless fundraisers from Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table work throughout the year to fund the project which is run with the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

And this year they have put aside a £3,000 pot of cash to bring a little Christmas cheer and make dreams come true across Huddersfield.

It’s been a tough year this year for many families which is why we are asking readers to nominate special people or groups for help.

It could be someone who is battling illness, struggling to cope with family or personal circumstances or simply a good-hearted neighbour, caring grandparent or selfless friend.

This Friday is the final date when nominations can be received.

Colin Thompson, chairman of Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table said: “Throughout the year our fundraising events include a collection with Santa at the Christmas lights switch on, the bonfire and fireworks display at Crosland Hill and the Duck Race in Holmfirth.

“We raise around £15,000 in total and support many local good causes including organising and fundraising the annual Christmas Wish campaign to make wishes come true across the Huddersfield area.”

Nominations can be made using the cut-out panel or by email or letter.

It must include your name, address, phone number (and email address if possible); the name, address and phone number of your nominee; and the wish you would like granted for them and why you think this person/group needs a Christmas Wish.

We also need to know if you would be happy for their story to be in the Examiner.

Applications should be sent to: The Christmas Wish Campaign, c/o Hazel Ettienne, Huddersfield Daily Examiner, Queen Street South, Huddersfield, HD1 3DU.

The address for email applications is: community@pendragon843.org.uk.
