MUSLIMS are holding an exhibition of their holy book the Qur’an.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association of Huddersfield South is hosting the event at Huddersfield Town Hall.

Fatihul Haq, president of the association, said: “These days Islam and its holy scripture, the holy Qur’an, has come under a lot of criticism that at times threatens to destroy the very fabric of our multi-religious and multi-ethnic society.

“We at the Ahmadiyya Muslim community passionately believe in dealing with such criticism peacefully – through dialogue and discourse.

“Consequently in the wake of the recent condemnation of the holy Qur’an, we are organising an exhibition that attempts to show what this scripture of the Muslims is really all about.”

There will be an opportunity to examine the entire text and look through its many translations as well as ask questions. The event is from 10am to 4pm on Saturday January 21.
