A HOLMFIRTH restaurant has plans for expansion.
Le Caveaux Wine and Tapas Bar has applied to Kirklees Council to take over the ground floor unit of the Yournuts Health Store.
The Victoria Square restaurant already has the first floor and existing cellar of the unit.
In a statement submitted with the application, Joe Hinchliffe, agent for the owner Mark Binns, says: “It is proposed to convert the existing ground floor currently occupied by Yournuts Health Store into a cafe and wine bar, all part of Le Caveaux.
“The proposals would link the cellar and first floor wine and tapas bar with the ground floor unit.”
The venue would be open as a café during the day and continue as a restaurant and wine bar in the evening.
They need approval from Kirklees Council planners for the change of use of the unit. The plan is open to public comments until February 8.
