PEOPLE across West Yorkshire can now get expert advice from an internet site to help them solve their consumer problems.

Millions of shoppers who live and work in the region will be able to get advice on consumer rights, solving problems and safeguarding themselves against doorstep crime.

The website - www.westyorks csn.org.uk - is run by the West Yorkshire Consumer Support Network, a Department of Trade and Industry scheme.

It gives information about organisations such as West Yorkshire Police, Trading Standards and Age Concern via the single web address.

Martin Wood, West Yorkshire's Chief Trading Standards Officer, said: "We are determined to continue boosting consumer awareness. This website aims to do just that.

"It provides the community with a fast and easy way of finding out about the different organisations that ensure consumers know where to turn for advice," he added.
