PLANS to extend Rastrick High School have gone before Calderdale Council.

The school off Field Top Road in Rastrick wants to build a new behavioural support unit.

The unit will be for students needing one to one intervention.

If approved, a new block will be built on the school ground.

The aim of the new unit is to help retain pupils who may be excluded from school if they were unable to receive the intensive support the new unit will offer.

The plans are currently going before Calderdale Council’s planning committee for approval.
