Tenants across Kirklees should see an improvement in their environment. Kirklees Council has approved an extra £500,000 to improve grounds maintenance on council estates.
The money will be spent keeping communal shrubs, bushes and grass neat and tidy. Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing chair Cora Carter welcomed the funding: “We’ve been lobbying for more resources to be put into grounds maintenance for some time and this came out as a top priority at the tenants’ conference last year.”
