A NEW piece of revolutionary equipment has been bought by a Huddersfield optician.
Specsavers, in Market Street, has splashed out £6,000 on the device known as an Intuitive Colorimeter which is used to help in the diagnosis of dyslexia and visual stress.
It is one of only a few of the machines in the UK.
Store manager Richard Hurdley said: "Approximately five per cent of the population is badly affected by visual stress and 20 per cent to a lesser degree.
"If visual stress can be identified and treated any remaining difficulties become easier to deal with.
"Once people have been diagnosed with this test they really notice the difference."
