THE fireworks season started in style.

It began last night with Fire In The Sky in Greenhead Park, Huddersfield, which included a superb display by Standard Fireworks set to music.

Over the following two weeks there will be bonfires across Huddersfield.

The main one this weekend is tomorrow, when fireworks will light up the sky at Crosland Hill as members of Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table stage their annual charity bonfire and fireworks display.

It will be held on land opposite The Sands House pub. Admission is £3 for adults and £1 for children.

Gates will open at 5.30pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm. The firework display gets under way at 7.15pm and promises to light up the sky with a host of colour.

The event will also include a fairground, which will be open from 5.30 to 8.30pm.
