AN ONLINE fan club has been set up in honour of one of Huddersfield’s oldest nightclubbers – but its members aren’t sure who he is!

A group called Huddersfield’s Old Dude Appreciation Society was created on social networking website Facebook by DJ Gavin Pearson.

And now more than 150 people have signed up to pay homage to the ageing reveller.

Pictures of the man at various nightspots – in many cases alongside much younger clubbers – have been posted on the website along, with comments from his growing army of fans.

Gavin, 26, believes he may be called Jerry.

But another member of the group claims he is called John and is about 70 years old.

He adds: “He’s got better knees that any 20 year old.”

Another comment says: “This guy is one serious legend!”

According to the Facebook group, the man can be seen at bars and clubs including My Mou, Revolution, The Cotton Factory, Tokyo and Rouge.

Gavin, who got chatting to him outside one venue, believes he works for Yorkshire Water.

He added: “I said to him, ‘It’s amazing that you’re still out partying at your age.’

“He parties every night and is already being called a legend.

“He is invited into some bars for free because everyone knows him.”

But, despite his age-defying late night antics, it seems the partying pensioner struggles to keep up with some aspects of youth culture.

One fan club member reveals his confused response when told about the Facebook group.

He said: “He thought Facebook was an actual book and asked if he could find it at the library.”

Do you know the Facebook clubber or have you met him?
