A 70-year-old faith healer has been found guilty this afternoon of sexually molesting three women who visited his Lightcliffe home for treatment.

After three hours of deliberation the jury of seven women and five men returned unanimous guilty verdicts on two charges of sexual assault and one allegation of indecent assault.

Grandfather George Boak, of Aysgarth Avenue, had denied the three charges, but after being found guilty following a four-day trial at Bradford Crown Court Judge Jonathan Rose described the evidence against him as overwhelming.

The judge said his behaviour towards the women, one of whom was completely naked during her treatment, could only be described as a serious breach of trust and utter depravity.

Judge Rose said he would be sending Boak to prison for the offences but he adjourned the case until later this afternoon to decide whether the sentence should be put off so that a pre-sentence report could be prepared.

Boak was remanded into custody and a decision about whether he will be sentenced today is expected at about 3.30pm.
