HUDDERSFIELD members of the UK Asian Christian Fellowship are taking part in a big celebration event tomorrow.
The group, in association with ATL (Yorkshire) Ltd, is holding a first-ever Christmas and Eid celebration at the Habib Restaurant in Bradford.
The organiser, Mr Yaqub Masih, of Salendine Nook, is the Fellowship's secretary-general and an adviser to the Bishop of Wakefield.
He said: "The aim of the celebration event is to strengthen the links between the Christians and Muslims and to have a better understanding of each other's faith.
"Our aim is to promote unity and community cohesion.
"Leaders from both faiths will be attending, including the bishops of Bradford and Pontefract, Maulana Fazal Dad, the divisional commander of police in Huddersfield, and other community representatives.
"ATL is the leading black and ethnic minority business support organisation in West Yorkshire and we are pleased to be partners."
