THE judge in the Peter Falconio murder trial will resume his directions to the jury in Australia tomorrow.

The case was delayed today so a jury member can attend a funeral.

Chief Justice Brian Martin said a lot of evidence had been presented and he reminded jurors to ignore everything they had heard outside court.

The jury in the Supreme Court trial at Darwin is expected to retire to consider its verdict next week.

Bradley John Murdoch, 47, has denied killing Mr Falconio, from Hepworth.

He has also pleaded not guilty to assaulting Mr Falconio's girlfriend Joanne Lees on a remote Northern Territory highway in July 2001.
