FAMILIES can make their own memories at Tolson Museum.

They will be able to make their own Victorian family portrait in a hand-made frame, a decorated box in which to keep treasured possessions, a scrap book for special pictures and a personalised key ring.

There will be two free sessions on Thursday, October 30 – one from 11am to 1pm and the other from 2pm to 4pm.

The half-term activity day is inspired by the lottery-funded Memories in Motion – an exhibition by the Holme Valley Sharing Memories intergenerational arts group, which is being displayed in Tolson Museum until March, 2009.

For more information about the Making Memories activities contact the museum in Ravensknowle Park, Wakefield Road, Dalton, on 01484 223830.

Children under eight years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
