THE families and friends of patients who have died at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary gathered for a special service.

More than 120 people came together at St Paul's Hall, Huddersfield University, to remember those who have died in the Infirmary's intensive care unit in the last 18 months.

The service was led by doctors and nurses from the unit.

Huddersfield Choral Society sang and a comments book was set up for the thoughts of families and friends.

They could also light candles for their loved ones.

Staff nurse Caroline Taylor said: "The comments from relatives were really nice and commended the staff's hard work."
