A CELEBRATION of families is to be held at New Hall women's prison, Flockton.
The event will be on Saturday, June 19, as part of the International Year of the Family.
Chaplaincy staff have teamed up with the Mothers' Union to stage the fun day.
The event aims to celebrate the positive aspects of family within the prison community and when the prisoners return home.
Games, craft activities, food and music will be on offer.
A second event will be on Saturday, July 10, in conjunction with the Community of the Resurrection, Mirfield, and the Mothers' Union.
That event will run alongside the Community's Commemoration Day, which will also celebrate families in all their variety and diversity.
