THOUSANDS of people enjoyed a day out at a farm which is recovering from a huge fire.
Crowds gathered at Hinchliffe’s Farm Shop in Netherton on Saturday.
The award-winning business was devastated by fire last July. The shop, butchery, restaurant and tea rooms, plastic tunnel greenhouse and offices were destroyed in the blaze.
But the business is getting back on its feet, with a 900sqm marquee housing the shop and restaurant.
And owner Simon Hirst invited families to enjoy a charity open day on Saturday to celebrate.
“It was amazing, the place was absolutely packed,” he said.
“It’s coming up to a year since the fire and we still get people asking if we’re back in business.”
Attractions included face painting, a bucking bronco, bouncy castle, craft stalls and shire-horse rides round Netherton.
There was also a raffle for the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust charity.
